A Delta Air Lines flight heading for New Orleans returned to Logan International Airport shortly after departing due to a “smoky odor."

A plane that departed from Boston's Logan Airport on Sunday morning returned to the airport after smoke was detected in the plane's cabin, a Delta Airlines spokesperson confirmed.

A Delta flight that had just taken off from Boston Logan International Airport had to quickly return after a "smoky odor" was detected in the cabin shortly after takeoff, the airline said.
