"Out of an abundance of caution and to allow buses to run during daylight hours, Knox County Schools will start two hours late on Friday, February 21, 2025. Central Office, executive principals, and school security will report one hour late," KCS posted on its Facebook page.

Cumberland County Schools and buildings will remain closed Friday following sleet and snow in the area, the district announced Thursday. Officials said the decision is because freezing temperatures Thursday night are expected to make roads unsafe for travel into Friday.

"We prefer to be in school, but we're not going to risk safety," Knox County Schools Superintendent Jon Rysewyk said. Who's ready for another snow day?
