LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Kentucky State Police are investigating after a man was killed in Franklin County Saturday, Nov. 9.

Police said 60-year-old Steven Girtley fled into a wooded area after a shooting Saturday night on Flat Creek Road.

Police are searching the area for Steven Girtley and is asking anyone with information to contact Post 12 at 502-227-2221.

The Franklin County Coroner was notified, and Justin Girtley, 36 years of age from Franklin County, was pronounced deceased.
