TALLAHASSEE, Florida (KCBD) - For the first time ever, Texas Tech softball is moving on to the Women’s College World Series. The No. 12-seeded Red Raiders took down the No. 5-seeded Florida State Seminoles on Friday afternoon, 2-1. Texas Tech improved to 5-0 in the postseason, sweeping the Lubbock Regional and now beating Florida State twice.

Darrion Williams, who averaged 15.1 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.6 assists last season, announced his transfer to NC State where he will spend his senior season with new Wolfpack coach Will Wade.
