ELKHART — A Martin's employee and a customer were identified as two people who died from a shooting at Martin's Super Market on Monday.

The shootings occurred barely 11 years after a Jan. 15, 2014, shooting in which a 20-year-old gunman killed an employee and a shopper at the Martin's on East Bristol Street. On Tuesday afternoon, the Elkhart County Prosecutor’s Office identified the two people killed in the grocery: Benjamin S. Jeffery, 49, and Annasue Rocha, 19, both of Elkhart. Rocha worked at Martin’s, and Jeffery was a customer in the grocery.
Community Foundation of Elkhart County to help those impacted by Martin’s shooting
The foundation has already begun collecting money through its Community Crisis Fund, which was first created back in 2007. Foundation President Pete McCown says the money will not go directly to victims at this time, but it will be given to other groups who will then use the money to help those impacted by the shooting.
