Starbucks has taken a page from its past − bringing back free refills, names on cups and a condiment bar. Beginning on Monday, the coffee chain has brought back some familiar aspects that were trademarks of Starbucks from its roots in Seattle.

No disposable or plastic vessels will be able to get the free refills. Additionally, if you purchase a cold brew, latte, Starbucks Refresher, Iced Tea Lemonade and many other drinks, you won’t be able to get the same drink for your free refill.

“Our green aprons are on, our playlists are ready, and our mugs are waiting to be filled—and refilled—with the finest Starbucks brewed coffee. So, pull up a chair, grab your favorite drink and stay awhile," the coffee chain said in its announcement. What’s included: Free refills on hot and iced brewed coffee and tea during the same store visit.

From online orders to drive-thru lines, A Starbucks coffeehouse may not be the first place that comes to mind for a dining-in experience. However, recent changes to customer-serving procedures may have you thinking again.

The free refills will be served in coffee mugs, glasses, or a clean personal cup brought from home and are only available on the same visit at one store. The refills excludes Cold Brew and Nitro Cold Brew, Iced Tea Lemonade, flavored Iced Tea and Starbucks Refreshers® base. Initial purchase must be made in a reusable cup or “for-here” serveware.
