The NFL draft order has fallen in precisely the wrong way for Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders based on the public perception of where he'd like to end up, which can be backed up by tangible examples from the past months.

Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders could be the top quarterback taken in the 2025 NFL Draft and is the son of Hall of Fame CB and Colorado coach Deion Sanders.

During an appearance on "The Rich Eisen Show," NFL Media's Tom Pelissero said it's possible that Sanders isn't even the first quarterback taken. Some NFL teams don't have a first-round grade on Sanders, partly because of how his final game went in Colorado's loss to BYU in the Alamo Bowl.
