With the Switch 2 being a Nintendo console, we expect plenty of the usual suspects to hit the platform. A new Mario, Zelda, Mario Kart and the rest of the staples will surely come to the console at some point (not all will be launch games, but over the console's lifetime, we'll see them at least once).

Right now, the main things we know about the Switch 2 hardware that distinguish it from the original Switch are that it's bigger and has more horsepower inside. The widespread expectation is that it will be roughly as powerful as a PlayStation 4 Pro or maybe even a Steam Deck, possibly with the ability to upscale games to 4K using DLSS technology.

The final Nintendo Direct presentation of the Switch era has arrived, and it's set to reveal a heap of new games for the console ahead of the Nintendo Switch 2 reveal next week.
