Philadelphia center Joel Embiid, who fell to the parquet floor during warmups before Wednesday's win in Boston but remained in the starting lineup, was fined $75,000 by the NBA Friday for making obscene gestures during the first half of the road victory.

Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers beat the Boston Celtics (on the road) by a score of 118-114. Embiid finished with 27 points, nine rebounds and two assists while shooting 8/15 from the field and 4/5 from the three-point range in 31 mintues of playing time.

Joel Embiid’s 2024-25 season has been marked by inconsistency. However, the Philadelphia 76ers star is gradually finding his form, and he recently made headlines by revealing the NBA rival he hates the most.
