An East Bay man is facing a federal weapons charge after he was allegedly found with a 3D printed firearm and a device that converts a pistol into a machine gun.The U.S. Attorney's Office Northern District of California announced that 21-year-old Noah Kanaye Bauer made his initial court appearance Wednesday morning after being arrested the day before.

Noah Bauer was arrested Tuesday and made his first appearance in federal court Wednesday, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office. He is charged with one count of transferring or possessing an unregistered machine gun. If convicted, Bauer faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine, prosecutors said.

A Brentwood man is facing federal charges after being arrested in September at a grocery store while allegedly carrying a ghost gun. Noah Bauer, 21, was stopped by Brentwood police who responded to a call that someone had a firearm at a Raley’s on Sand Creek Road in the eastern Contra Costa County city.
