The Trojans overcame a double-digit deficit and shocked Dexter in the final minute of Friday’s Division 2 district final game.

And more than half of those teams have opportunities to repeat as district champions this week. East Lansing, Mason, Portland, Haslett, Corunna, Ovid-Elsie, Pewamo-Westphalia and Ithaca can extend their district title streaks with wins this weekend.

After scoring a touchdown as time expired, East Lansing got a 2-point conversion to knock off No. 3-ranked Dexter (10-1) for a Division 2 district title. The district championship was the third straight for the Trojans (8-3).

DEXTER, MI - On a cool evening in Dexter, East Lansing defeated Dexter in the MHSAA Division 2 district final on Friday Nov. 8, 2024. The score was 50 - 49. East Lansing scored a touchdown with 6 seconds on the clock to make the score 49-48. Quarterback Ben Fletcher then converted a two-point conversion on a pass to BJ Windham to win the game.
