SPRINGFIELD -- Yogesh Raut, who grew up in Springfield, dethroned reigning Jeopardy! Masters champion Victoria Groce which aired on ABC-TV on June 4.

Season 3 of Jeopardy! Masters officially came to a close on Wednesday, June 4, and trust us when we say, Alex Trebek himself would be proud of how far these contestants have come. The tournament, which began with nine Jeopardy!

Raut, who was raised in Springfield and whose parents--Jagdish and Dr. Aarti Raut--still live here, currently sits in second place heading into the June 4 semifinals, which airs on WICS-TV at 7 p.m.
