America’s oldest military service turns 250 on Saturday. If you see an active duty, former, or retired member of the Army, wish their service a happy birthday.

Smaller celebrations and related activities were held across the country in the weeks leading up to the Army’s 250th birthday, and some festivities will even take place after.

A grand parade celebrating the 250th birthday of the U.S. Army barreled down Constitution Avenue in Washington with tanks, troops and flyovers on Saturday to the beat of off-and-on rainfall.
