In response to Typhoon Wipha, the third to hit the East Sea this year, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) has decided to temporarily suspend the reception and operation of aircraft at airports located within the affected areas on July 21 and 22.

Vietnam's Prime Minister put coastal provinces on emergency footing for Typhoon Wipha, saying it could cause flooding and landslides, as airlines cancelled flights ahead of the storm's expected landfall early on Tuesday.

Typhoon Wipha is currently causing chaos in southern China. People are being swept away by the gusts and heavy rainfall is causing flooding.
