Paris-based Luxbox Films has acquired the international sales rights to Milagros Mumenthaler ’s “The Current” (“Las Corrientes”). The film, which has just been announced to world premiere in Toronto’s prestigious Platform competition, is a co-production between Argentina’s Ruda Cine and Switzerland’s Alina Film.

Other titles heading to the 50th TIFF include world premieres starring Russell Crowe, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Angelina Jolie, Al Pacino and more.
