Senate Republicans insist they are pushing ahead on President Donald Trump’s big bill of tax breaks and spending cuts this week.

Republicans are in the process of drafting a tax bill behind closed doors that includes an increase of the state and local tax deduction to as high as $25,000 for an individual, according to people familiar with the plan.

Senate Republicans are preparing to move forward with a budget plan that will enable them to implement President Trump's agenda, eyeing a vote later this week.
