The St. Helens school board will hold an emergency meeting Friday to consider placing Superintendent Scot Stockwell on paid administrative leave after this week’s arrest of two St. Helens High School teachers who are accused of sexually abusing multiple students over the course of several years.

The abrupt closure follows the arrests Tuesday of a St. Helens High School teacher and a retired St. Helens High teacher on allegations of child sex abuse. All Friday evening events are canceled as well. School district officials said they expect schools to reopen Monday.
