Officials have confirmed at least three people died in the San Diego plane crash that hit a neighborhood early Thursday. Only minor injuries have been reported among residents, despite major damage to at least 10 homes.

A new wildfire was reported today at 2:50 p.m. in San Diego County. Disney Fire has been burning on private land. At this time, there is no information on the containment of the fire and the cause of it remains undetermined.

Crews left the scene of the Academy Fire on Sunday after doing mop-up work the day before, the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department said.

The Gateway Energy Storage facility fire smoldered for almost 17 days; the site is now “partially operational.”
