For the third time in four years, Oregon has advanced to stoke play at the NCAA women’s golf championship. The No. 5 Ducks had their best round of stroke play on Monday, shooting 4-under 284 at Omni La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, Calif. Oregon finished stroke play 6-under, second to No. 1 Stanford’s 27-under.

The Oregon women’s golf team put on a surge on the back-nine in Monday’s final round at the NCAA championship tournament to move up a spot and finish second in the final team standings. The Ducks were one of only two teams to score collectively under par. Oregon finished at 6-under-par, while Stanford ran away with the team trophy at 27-under-par.

Paula Martin Sampedro rallied from 3 down with five holes to play Tuesday to win her opening match as top-seeded Stanford overcame a sluggish start to beat Virginia in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Women's Golf Championship.
