Rockets were fired from Lebanon into Israel sparking concern about whether the fragile ceasefire​ with the militant group would hold.

The Israeli air force says it struck Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon in response to cross-border rocket fire in the most significant flare-up of tensions since a ceasefire brought uneasy calm to the region.

Israel on Saturday launched two waves of airstrikes against Hezbollah in the morning and night in response to a rocket attack on Metula, with Lebanese media reporting at least seven people killed, including two children and 40 others injured.
