The LPGA was back in the U.S. after last playing in Florida on February 9. Since then the tour was in Asia for three events but now returned to Arizona for the Ford Championship at Whirlwind Golf Club in Chandler.

The LPGA returned to the U.S. for the first time since early February with the 2025 Ford Championship just outside Phoenix. The $2.25 million purse marked the first time for some in the field of 144 to earn a paycheck in more than a month. The winner at Whirlwind Golf Club earned $337,500. A total of 74 players made the cut.

This event will mark the first time Nelly Korda will be teeing it up since the Founders Cup in February. This will also be the first event in 2025 where the top three in the world will be competing in the same event; Korda, Jeeno Thitikul, and Lydia Ko.
