A Royal Caribbean crew member stabbed a fellow crew member on a cruise ship and then died after jumping overboard Thursday night, authorities said.

The 35-year-old man stabbed a 28-year-old woman “multiple times," according to the Royal Bahamas Police Force.

The passenger jet was responding to an alert of another aircraft in the vicinity, federal authorities said. A Cold War-era military plane was nearby at the time.
