The Mirror US on MSNStephen Colbert mocks Trump in Coldplay kiss cam parody on Late Show
Stephen Colbert made a bold comeback to The Late Show with a star-packed parody of Coldplay’s viral Kiss Cam — using it to fire shots at Donald Trump and his CBS bosses.
The comment, of course, was in reference to the recent viral story about Andy Byron, the CEO of Astronomer, who was caught in an embrace at a Coldplay concert with the company’s chief people officer Kristin Cabot. Since the story broke, Byron resigned his position but that came after the Internet was set ablaze with memes.
California Gov. Gavin Newsom posted his own version of the viral clip of Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and HR officer Kristin Cabot being caught on the Coldplay kiss cam — except instead of Byron and Cabot, it includes the heads of President Donald Trump and child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein superimposed on the pair.
After the sudden cancellation of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the talk show host responded on air. A list of celebrity guests joined him. Together, they mocked CBS with a reference to the recent viral Coldplay concert incident.
The video likened the faces made by a CEO and head of HR caught canoodling to the fear felt by undocumented immigrants.
