It appears that Desmond Ridder will have to wait a little longer until he gets another chance to work out for an NFL team. It was previously reported that the former Las Vegas Raiders quarterback was going to try out for the Denver Broncos at their rookie minicamp.

The Denver Post's Parker Gabriel reports former Atlanta Falcons starting quarterback Desmond Ridder won't be at Broncos rookie minicamp.

This time, it was eight-year NFL veteran punter Matt Haack. The Broncos signed Haack on March 19 to replace Riley Dixon. Haack has played 103 NFL games, putting 37.3 percent of his punts inside the 20-yard line. Denver changed its plans on the final day of the NFL Draft.

A 2022 third-round pick, Ridder spent his first two seasons with the Falcons. He started 17 games over that stretch, compiling an 8-9 record while completing 64% of his passes for 3,544 yards, 14 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions, adding another five scores on the ground.

The Denver Broncos are Bo Nix ’s team. They also have Jarrett Stidham and Sam Ehlinger behind him after free agency and the draft. However, former Atlanta Falcons starter Desmond Ridder is among the roster hopefuls attending the Broncos’ rookie minicamp.
