President Donald Trump announced Wednesday he planned to hit Brazil with a 50% tariff, in part due to the treatment of its former president and his political ally, Jair Bolsonaro.

President Donald Trump said Wednesday the U.S. will slap a 50% tariff on Brazil's imports, partly in retaliation for the ongoing prosecution of the country's former president, Jair Bolsonaro.

Trump called the investigation into the former far-right leader of Brazil a “Witch Hunt that should end IMMEDIATELY.”
