The Big Spring Sale is Amazon's first major savings event of the year — and unlike its flagship summer Prime Day sale, the deals aren't exclusive to Prime members. Most of them, anyway: Prime members get access to a handful of special offers, which are identified with a "Prime Spring Deal" badge.

The Amazon Big Spring Sale kicked off yesterday, and it’s surprisingly good. Our deals editor, Sam Daly, has been fastidiously rounding up the 140-plus best deals from the sale, which include some solid discounts on big-ticket items like vacuums and pricey hair tools.

While you don’t need a Prime membership to shop the Big Spring Sale, members do get access to exclusive deals and speedy Prime shipping. If you already use Amazon a lot, it may be worth signing up during the event. The annual membership costs $139 (after a 30-day free trial).
