DEDHAM – Karen Read was back in court Tuesday, March 25, to wrap up more motions just a week before her retrial in a Canton murder case is to begin April 1. Read is accused of murder in the death of her Boston police officer boyfriend and Braintree native John O’Keefe.

In her only interview, Victoria George told VF, “I waited for nearly a year after the mistrial, hoping the court system would work as intended to remedy some of the wrongs in this case.”

Organizers planned demonstrations across the commonwealth Sunday morning, just two days before the beginning of Karen Read's second murder trial. The rallies come just two days before the start of jury selection,
