Mikel Arteta says he is “very excited” about what Noni Madueke will bring to Arsenal as he explained why the club have signed so many players from Chelsea during his tenure. Madueke joined Arsenal last week from the Blues in a deal that could eventually be worth £52million.

Arsenal have completed the signing of Noni Madueke from Chelsea on a five-year contract. The Athletic reported last week that Madueke, 23, had been granted permission to complete his medical with Arsenal and become their fourth new arrival of the summer. He will wear the No 20 in north London.

"Noni is an exciting and powerful young player, with his performances and numbers in recent seasons being of consistently high quality," Mikel Arteta said of Madueke.
