The mother of a reportedly missing 3-year-old girl admitted to striking the child to death, according to police charging documents obtained Thursday by 11 News.

Police in Newark, Delaware issued an Amber Alert after Darrian Randle reported that an armed man had kidnapped her daughter.

Maryland State Police have arrested a man and woman in connection with the death of a missing child who was the subject of a recent Amber

Randle is charged with first and second-degree murder, and first degree of child abuse resulting in death of a minor under 13, as well as additional charges. She was taken into custody at the New Castle County Division of Police, waiting for extradition, authorities said.

After an aborted Amber alert and the discovery of human remains, a Maryland mom has been charged with the murder of 3-year-old Nola Dinkins.

An Amber Alert for 3-year-old Nola Dinkins was canceled Wednesday as police now investigate the incident as a homicide.
