Microsoft is allowing Copilot+ PC users to test out the sexy new AI model from DeepSeek -- and on the NPU, no less.

Microsoft has introduced the DeepSeek AI model to Copilot+ PCs. This new development, which integrates DeepSeek with the powerful NPU (Neural Processing Unit) in Copilot+ PCs, aims to offer efficient AI capabilities directly on the device.

Microsoft makes DeepSeek locally available on Copilot+ PCs. Model to arrive first on Qualcomm Snapdragon X processors — Intel and AMD chips to follow.

Initially, it will be available on PCs with Qualcomm Snapdragon X, followed by computers with Intel Core Ultra 200V and other devices. Microsoft will also add the R1 model to its Azure AI Foundry platform,
