Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Mookie Betts will miss this weekend's series against the New York Yankees, but won't require a stint on the injured list after fracturing his second toe, according to ESPN's Alden Gonzalez.

An MLB insider relayed a positive injury update from the Los Angeles Dodgers on Mookie Betts despite him being held out of the lineup for game one of the Mets rematch.

Mookie Betts will return to the lineup on Tuesday for the Los Angeles Dodgers ' game against the New York Mets. Betts missed the last four games after stubbing his toe last Wednesday in the Dodgers' game against the Cleveland Guardians .
