Loved the gardens and the orchid festival. Catering pretty good. Only downside was music in orchid festival was a bit too loud and detracted from the otherwise peaceful aspects of the gardenFull review by Odyssey58692513824
Choosing between Fairchild and Pinecrest Gardens, what are the differences? Is one larger/more walking? I see there is a big difference in price. Are the cafes open now? Thanks!

Fairchild Gardens is one of the worlds premier botanical Gardens so you cannot compare the two in all honesty. The café at Fairchild is open. Pinecrest Gardens is a small local garden, used to be Parrot Jungle - very pretty, but not even in the same league as Fairchild tropical garden which has one of the worlds greatest collections of palm trees and other rare plants as well as a beautiful butterfly garden and the only tropical rainforest in the contiguous United States. Hence the difference in the price! Both are lovely in their own way but you are comparing apples and oranges in all honesty.
Hallo, we are now on holiday in Miami south beach and we'd like to visit Fairchild, day and night show, next December 26th. As you know weather forecast is not so good. May we enjoy our visit as well or it is better to wait next time in Miami? Thank you very much. Federico

As most of the Night Garden is walking through area, I don't think it would be very enjoyable in the rain.
