The "garden" usually has special events and attractions. Check the website for when the Chinese Lanterns begin. It may be March and will be a fantastic display.
Is there a cart rental or something for elderly regularly or was that just a favor on the day you went? My dad is going to need a ride probably at least part of the time due to age and mobility issues. Thanks!

I don't think there is cart rental, but believe thete is a conract us area on the website where you can ask. The staff is incredibly helpful and I am sure will get back to you quickly.
