There are many things down the waterfront. A great way to see it to get an overview is to take the water taxi from the USS Construction, Cheap as chips and you get some great views.Full review by PBPG

Where is best place to stay near waterfront that is a bit less expensive then hotels on the actual waterfront. Need the convienance for the kids but not the super high prices. Thanks

You could try a Hotwire search since you are targeting a small area. I've gotten decent rates at the Intercontinental twice doing it that way.
